Alphabet Challenge-C

C-Canine Casanova, Chachi!  ( If I was playing Scattergories, that would be a nice one! haha)

This is Chachi, my sweet, sweet dog.  I call him Casanova because everyone that meets him just loves him.  He is a really sweet dog.  This is him dancing for some food from Victoria.  He really wanted her toaster struedel.

Alphabet Challenge-Letter B

I apologize for the random, unknown time of posting.  My work schedule is a little crazy and its really hard to tell when I will post.  Today's challenge was pretty easy, or at least I took the easy way out.  haha  I haven't looked at MommyPlus5, so I don't know what she has posted for today.  I can't wait to see it.  I had one picture that I really wanted to post, but it's on the blackberry and it's having issues sending it.  If it ever loads, I'll post that one too.  For now, here's today's picture!

B-Baby Boy

My cousin JD.  So stinkin' cute!  We bought him a high chair the other and he just loves it.  By this point, though, he was tired of me taking his picture.  I love that look on his face.  He's such a cute baby boy that turns 1 very soon!!
Don't forget to stop by Mommyplus5 and check out her take on the Alphabet Challenge!! That's where I'm going next!

Until next time,
~Daisylynn~

Alphabet Challenge-Letter A

Today is day one of a new challenge, the alphabet challenge! My good friend, fellow blogger and photographer, is joining me with this challenge, so please visit her site as well!  If you would like to join in on the challenge, feel free! Just let me know and I will be sure to include a link on page.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday are our challenge days, so come back and see how different our takes our on the same letter.  It's going to be fun!

Today's letter is

A-Arachnophobia (fear of spiders, for those that don't know)

I am NOT a fan of spiders! I hate them, actually.  I am actually afraid that they are going to jump on me and eat me alive or something.   This one was about to be squished on the bottom of my shoe, but it ran away before I could kill it.  I know, I know, spiders are great because they eat insects and all that fun stuff.  But, I don't think we would have missed this one.

Come back on Wednesday for letter B of the challenge and don't forget to visit Mommyplus5 for her take on the alphabet.

Family

There are those that are born into a great family unit and that unit stays close and tight-knit throughout your entire life.  There are those that were born into their ideal family unit.  There are those of us that weren't.  For some reason or another there are people who don't really get the concept of what a true family is.  Family isn't about flesh and blood and dna.  It's about heart.  I will be 31 years old this July.  I met my family 20 years ago.  This isn't to say that I didn't have parents growing up.  I did.  They were abusive and it took me having my daughter to realize that that version of family was not the version that I wanted my daughter to know.  My true family came in the form of my very best friend, Christine and her family. Her mom is my mom(Carol), her brother is my brother(William) and she is my sister.  Biology doesn't have a damn thing to do with family.   Biology didn't matter to those that birthed me.  Family is about those that are there for you through the thick and thin and don't hurt you.  That whole you don't get choose your family line is bullshit.  I chose mine and they chose me right back.  Today my family hurts.

My brother, William, was shot and killed last night.  We are all hurting. My family is so far away and I wish that I could be there with them.  They are all in my thoughts and my prayers.  A mother should never have to bury their child. To my mom, I love you! Thank you so much for all that you've ever done for me and accepting me into your home and your heart as one of your own.  William, you will be missed greatly.  I know you are in a better place now, I'm just sad that you're journey here on earth had to end so quickly.

My best friend and sister.  I love you more than you'll ever know.  I still treasure this page you made for me.  It's in my office and I look at it daily and thank God for you  and your family. My family.  20 years.  Wow, we're old.  We're so young in this picture and we're even better friends now than we were back then.

William Benel, rest in peace and know that you have a bunch of people down here that love you and can't wait to see you again.

The only thing worth stealing is a kiss from a sleeping child

Happy Mother's Day! Mother's day at my house was just perfect! I got to sleep in, which is always nice.  Mark and the kids made me breakfast in bed.  I got a card from each of them.  They were very cute and sweet cards. I also go beautiful flowers and chocolate.

My Mother's Day loot.  I'm incredibly blessed to have to two fantastic kids and a wonderful man in my life who show me love on a daily basis.

A couple close-ups of my beautiful flowers.  My honey knows me so well and knows which flowers are 'perfect' for me.

After a wonderful morning we went to Post Falls and had nice little hike.  It was gorgeous outside today.
Here are my two wonderful kids and I on Mother's Day, 2010 in Post Falls.

They are such goofballs, which makes me love them that much more!

My three loves on Mother's Day.  May 9, 2010.  I love them with everything I have! Thank you guys for such a wonderful day!! I love you Mark, Sean, and Victoria!

A Daughter is a Gift of Love.

I woke this morning feeling like I had been run over by train.  Then it backed up and ran over me again and again and again.  The last thing that I wanted to do was get out of bed, let alone go anywhere.  But I had to.  My daughter's Kindergarten Mother's Day program was today and there was no way I was going to miss it.  I'm so glad that I went, even though all I wanted to do was sleep and get rid of that damned train that kept running me over.  She did such a great job! They sang lots of songs, which is amazing that they remembered them all.  Then her teacher, Mrs. Smith, and the kids read I'll Love You Forever.  What a great book.  After the program we went back into the classroom where all the moms were given a gift and ice cream and cookies.  The other day, while cleaning up my office, I found this picture in with a pile of scrapbooking magazines.  It was taken January 1, 2006.  She was just 2 months shy of being 2.  She's the best thing that has ever happened to me.  I love her so much, she's such a sweet kid and just an amazing kind spirit.

The picture below is my Mother's Day for 2010.  What an amazingly beautiful treasure that I will keep for a lifetime.  I'm truly blessed to have such a wonderful daughter.  I'm sure I'll need to re-read this post when she's a teenager and hates me, haha.

After her program, on the way home, she asked me "How come you didn't take any pictures of my program, mama?"  Ugh!! "Mama is sick baby and didn't even think about the camera."  What a lousy excuse!!  Even more reason that I need to have a small digital camera in my purse at all times.

Mama loves you, Victoria!

I'll love you Forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be!  XOXOXO

She wanted her picture taken too!

How could I resist that face??? So there ya go, my pretty princess..NOT showing off her missing tooth.  We can't always get what we want, right?

It's a Dog Eat Dog World!

Meet Diesel! We're doggy sitting for a couple of weeks and this guy is just way too sweet.  Techinically we aren't doggy sitting, but Sunny is and she is staying with us, so I guess that means we are doggy sitting.  I don't mind.  This guy is a sweetheart.  He's only 5 months old.

Look at that cute little face!!!!  I'm not quite sure what the breed is, but it doesn't matter.  This little guy just loves to be petted and loved.

This guy is Neo.  It's Byron and Sunny's dog.  He's an ok dog, too, but I don't like him much when he gets into the trash.  Other than that we get along just fine!

Here's MY Chachi!  He's such a sweet dog.  Probably the best dog I've ever had!

My handsome little Chachi.  My dear friend, Christi, loves my dog so much that the purple tag that you see him wearing says I love Christi.  HAHA  She got that for him and some heart shaped treats.  She really is in love with my dog.

Have a great Wednesday!!

I love where I live!

My honey and I went for a drive last Saturday and I snapped this picture as he was driving in Selle Valley.  How can you not just love this?  Northern Idaho is just absolutely gorgeous.  It's definitely a photographers dream location.
