Procrastination

Procrastination is probably one of the things I hate the most about myself. I have all these big plans, but I guess fear of failure, or whatever the case may be, stops me from following through. This is one of the things that I would like to change about myself this year. I'm not off to a great start, but I'm trying. One of the things that I want to work on this year, besides the obvious procrastination, is my photography. My photography is the one thing that makes me immensely happy all of the time. I love it! There is just something about capturing a moment in time, that is just priceless. When I hear someone say "I love that photo", that, to me, makes it all it worth it. I'm going to try and keep up with this blog this year. I know that if I do, I will be so proud of myself and the fact that I have managed to stick to something. My hope is to take a picture a day and share it on this site for everyone to enjoy. With that being said, I am human, I do have a family and one of those job thingys. I may not get to take a picture on a given day, but I've got plenty in backups to share.

Here are some pictures from this year...2010. It's going to be a great year.

This picture is from New Years Eve..Technically, New Years ..it was midnight.. We had a nice quiet evening at home with the family and then watched the ball drop with Dick Clark. I'm old..get over it. It was nice.
I was bored, but in effort to maintain this whole photo a day thing, I grabbed my macro lens and walked outside. It was cold..and there was snow on the ground. So I did what any normal human being would do and went into the warm shed to see what I could find. Any guess on what this is??? We were tired of being at home and decided to go for a drive. We ended up at Farragut State Park not to far from the house. It was cold, but it was so pretty. I am probably going to say this a LOT on this blog, but I LOVE where I live. You just can't beat it. I may, of course, bitch about the snow, but that's just human nature. I do love the snow, just hate driving in it for fear of the other idiots in the road. Moving on....

This is the newest member of our family, Mouse. Yes, I'm aware of the irony. She's cute...just wait til you see the pics from last night...Those will be on a later blog. My beautiful daughter. She's 5..going on 35. My honey, Mark, got me a backdrop set for Christmas and it finally got here on the 6th. I needed a guinea pig and she was more than willing.
I took this picture yesterday, January 8th. I woke up and glanced outside..I didn't have my glasses on, not sure what I was looking for, I couldn't see it even if I knew. But even without my glasses I could tell that I needed to jump out of bed and grab my camera. What was stunning without my glasses was even more stunning with. This was taken from my front porch. Getting up early on this day definitely had its advantages.

Well, that's it for this entry. I just took another photo, so I can get up-to-date. I'll post that one soon. Happy New Year everyone, may 2010 be everything you want it to be.
