A Daughter is a Gift of Love.

I woke this morning feeling like I had been run over by train.  Then it backed up and ran over me again and again and again.  The last thing that I wanted to do was get out of bed, let alone go anywhere.  But I had to.  My daughter's Kindergarten Mother's Day program was today and there was no way I was going to miss it.  I'm so glad that I went, even though all I wanted to do was sleep and get rid of that damned train that kept running me over.  She did such a great job! They sang lots of songs, which is amazing that they remembered them all.  Then her teacher, Mrs. Smith, and the kids read I'll Love You Forever.  What a great book.  After the program we went back into the classroom where all the moms were given a gift and ice cream and cookies.  The other day, while cleaning up my office, I found this picture in with a pile of scrapbooking magazines.  It was taken January 1, 2006.  She was just 2 months shy of being 2.  She's the best thing that has ever happened to me.  I love her so much, she's such a sweet kid and just an amazing kind spirit.

The picture below is my Mother's Day for 2010.  What an amazingly beautiful treasure that I will keep for a lifetime.  I'm truly blessed to have such a wonderful daughter.  I'm sure I'll need to re-read this post when she's a teenager and hates me, haha.

After her program, on the way home, she asked me "How come you didn't take any pictures of my program, mama?"  Ugh!! "Mama is sick baby and didn't even think about the camera."  What a lousy excuse!!  Even more reason that I need to have a small digital camera in my purse at all times.

Mama loves you, Victoria!

I'll love you Forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be!  XOXOXO
